Our Story

Owned and operated by longtime Doylestown residents, Steve and Louise Lee, Le Macaron
Doylestown opened its doors in November 2020. As parents to four boys they wanted a change of pace for their family as well as to encourage their boys to chase their dreams.

Louise, being French Canadian herself and having been raised in Canada, found herself fondly recalling the French pastries of her childhood. The idea to be able to bring and share the culture of her childhood was exciting and Doylestown’s diversified health-conscious customers has been a perfect match.

Steve has been an active member of Doylestown’s volunteer fire department since 2015 and particularly values the importance of local community involvement. He also serves on the county’s dive rescue team. Steve and Louise have found numerous ways to further serve their community through their venture with Le Macaron.

Hosting weekly fundraisers, between May 2021 and September 2022 Le Macaron Doylestown raised and donated a total of $3,096.50 to NAMI Bucks County, who, since 1983 has been a beacon of hope for people affected by mental health conditions. Along the way, varying other contributions have been made to Between Friends Outreach, KIN, and Pine2Pink via the Thompson Shine & Sign event. Additionally, Steve and Louise have supported the community through various contributions including to Central Bucks HS West Football club, Harlequin club and Teachers of America Club as well as to Solebury School, Mercer Museum & Fonthill Castle and Doylestown Parks & Recreation.

Steve and Louise share duties managing the store and bring complimentary skills to meet the needs of the store. They enjoy meeting and connecting with community members and are enthused to bring awareness of how their unique product can add a taste of joy to weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, baby & wedding showers, and make great corporate gifts.
