Your Guide to the Coffee Menu at Le Macaron Doylestown

Most people walk into Le Macaron for the macarons. That makes sense — the name’s on the door. But if you’ve never had coffee here, you’re missing half the experience. Le Macaron Doylestown is a full French café, and the drink menu is a lot deeper than most people expect.

Here’s your guide to everything on the coffee menu — what to order, what to pair it with and what to try if you’re feeling adventurous.

The Coffee: Lavazza Gran Riserva

First, the basics. All of the coffee and espresso drinks at Le Macaron are made with Lavazza Gran Riserva — a premium Italian coffee with over 125 years of roasting heritage. It’s smooth, rich and full-bodied with notes of maple syrup and walnut. If you’ve been drinking Lavazza at home from the bag, this is that — but pulled fresh and made right.

A 12oz brewed Lavazza coffee starts at $2.75. That’s your everyday order if you want something excellent and straightforward.

Espresso Drinks: The Core Menu

If you’re an espresso person, here’s what you’re working with:

A single espresso ($3.25) is a dark-roasted shot with a clean layer of crema. The double ($4.50) is for when you need to mean it. Americanos come in a small single ($3.25) and a large double ($4.00) — espresso diluted with hot water for a longer, smoother drink without milk. This is the European way to drink black coffee, and it’s worth trying if you’ve never had one done well.

Macchiatos ($3.95 single / $4.95 double) are espresso with just a dot of foamed milk — nothing else. If you order a macchiato here, you’re getting the real version, not the caramel-drizzled dessert drink from a chain.

Lattes, Cappuccinos & Café au Lait

This is where most people land, and you can’t go wrong with any of them.

The latte ($4.75 / $5.25) is Lavazza espresso with steamed milk — smooth, creamy, classic. The cappuccino (same price) gives you that thick layer of frothy foam on top that makes the first sip feel like an event. And the café au lait ($3.50 / $3.95) is the French version — strong brewed coffee with steamed milk instead of espresso. It’s lighter than a latte, a little less intense, and honestly the most underrated thing on the menu.

What to pair it with: A latte with a Madagascar Black Vanilla macaron. A cappuccino with a butter croissant. A café au lait with an almond pastry. You’re in a French bakery — lean into it.

Mochas & Specialty Drinks

The mocha ($5.00 / $5.50) blends espresso with chocolate and steamed milk, topped with whipped cream. If you like your coffee to feel like a treat, this is your order.

But the real move is the specialty menu at $6.75. The Specialty Latte comes in rotating flavors like Cinnamon Toast Latte — which tastes exactly like it sounds and is dangerously good. The Specialty Mocha rotates too, with options like Blackberry Lavender that somehow works beautifully with chocolate and espresso. These change seasonally, so ask what’s available when you come in.

What to pair it with: A specialty mocha with a Belgian Chocolate macaron is one of those combinations where you just close your eyes and nod.

Iced Drinks & Cold Brew

When the weather turns, the iced menu opens up. Iced coffee ($3.50) and cold brew ($4.75) are the straightforward options — the cold brew is smooth, low-acid and steeped for a bold, clean flavor. Iced lattes ($5.25) and iced mochas ($5.50) are exactly what you’d expect — the hot versions, served cold, and just as good.

The specialty iced drinks ($6.75 each) are where it gets fun. The Specialty Iced Latte comes in flavors like Cinnamon French Toast and Honey. The Specialty Iced Mocha rotates through options like Berry Nutty. On a hot day in Doylestown, these are hard to beat.

Tea & Cocoa

Not a coffee person? Le Macaron carries Palais des Thés — one of France’s most respected tea houses. A cup of green, black or herbal tea is $3.25. The London Fog Tea Latte ($4.75) is a standout — Earl Grey with vanilla syrup and steamed milk, topped with cinnamon. It’s warm, fragrant and one of the best non-coffee drinks on the menu.

Hot cocoa ($5.25) is made with real chocolate and steamed milk. We offer whipped cream if requested for a small extra charge. It’s the order for kids, for non-coffee drinkers, and for anyone who just wants something warm and sweet.

The Bottom Line

Le Macaron is one of the best coffee shops in Doylestown, and most people don’t even know it yet. The Lavazza espresso is excellent, the specialty drinks are creative without being gimmicky, and the fact that you can pair any of it with a fresh macaron or pastry makes the whole experience feel like a mini vacation.
